ADDRESS BY THE CHAİRMAN OF THE CONGRESS

Dear friends, dear colleagues!

 On April 25-27, 2024, the XX International Eurasian Congress on Surgery and Hepatogastroenterology and the XX Hepatogastroenterology are planned to be held simultaneously in the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku. The Public Union of Surgeons and Gastroenterologists of Azerbaijan has extensive experience in holding international congresses of this type. Thus, in Baku, during the organization of our Public Association, the I, VI, IX, XI, XII, XIII and XVIII Eurasian Congresses on Surgery and Gastroenterology were held.

It should be noted that in the first years, the International Eurasian Congress of Surgery and Gastroenterology was held only in Turkic-speaking countries, but later this geography expanded and these events were successfully held in Georgia, the Islamic Republic of Iran and a number of European countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy).

At the congress, scheduled for April with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the active participation of scientists from the Scientific and Surgical Center named after Academician M.A. Topchibashev, the National Cancer Center, the Azerbaijan Medical University, as well as leading members of international associations, such as the Public Union of Surgeons and Gastroenterologists of Azerbaijan, Eurasian Association of Gastroenterologists, Turkish Hepatobiliopancreatological Association and Turkish Association of Liver Sciences.

Dear friends!

Taking all this into account, we invite you to take an active part in our congress and ask you to send us information about the results of your scientific research in the form of a dissertation for publication in the collection of the congress.

We hope that foreign guests who visit our city from many countries of the world will take an active part in our congress, visit the historical places of our beautiful and ancient Baku and return to their homeland with good impressions and good memories.
